Bio
I work as a game designer / programmer at Firaxis Games, in Maryland. At Firaxis, most designers are also programmers: we implement our own designs.
I trained to be an environment artist at the Art Institute of Phoenix, entered the industry as a level designer on XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and have been coding for the past six years. I love what I do. I believe that game design is still in a very early phase, which makes it an incredible field to work in.
I spend my nights researching psychology, working on personal game projects, and improving my own work. I'm a cheerleader for the Unity game engine, and a big fan of tools development.
In my spare time, I'm a rock climber, fitness instructor, and outdoor enthusiast. I'm recently completed work on Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide, and other secret projects here at Firaxis.
